Attention to Detail Test

Assess attention to detail, focus, and follow through.

Attention to detail is one of the most common essential job skills, next to self-motivated, you see on job descriptions. Likewise, “strong attention to detail” is one of the skills many candidates tout.  But too often, employers are disappointed in the ability of new hires to deliver quality work after they’re on the job.

That’s exactly why we’ve created the Elite Attention to Detail Test.

Whether it’s entering the right data, catching errors, or meeting deadlines, our attention to detail test can be used to assess both job readiness and reveal opportunities for training. It can be used to test candidates for almost every role including administrative assistants, bookkeepers, clerical, data entry engineers, programmers, technicians, and more.

What is Attention to Detail?

Simply put, it’s the ability to dot the “I”s and cross the “T” all the time. While exact definitions vary, Harvard University offers a more formal description:

Accomplishing tasks by considering all areas involved, no matter how small; showing concern for all aspects of the job; accurately checking processes and tasks; being watchful over a period of time.

Key examples of attention to detail include:

  • Follows procedures
  • Accurately and carefully follows established procedures for completing work tasks.
  •  Ensures high-quality output
  • Vigilantly watches over job processes, tasks, and work products to ensure freedom from errors, omissions, or defects.
  • Reviews all parts of a job to ensure quality.
  • Notice errors in work before it is distributed.
  • Make sure that correspondence is error free.
